SES COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES

Design Committee
– Ensure that all interested users are fully integrated into the design process
– Provide the lead role in ensuring successful final design and choice of designer/builder
– Help Fundraising Committee with grassroots individual donation campaign

Events Committee
– Plan and implement strategy for obtaining giving levels and skatepark awareness for event related activities
– Calendar / plan / organize / orchestrate all events
– Solicit and obtain product/service donations for auction-related events
– Event related newspaper, TV, radio, magazine coverage / flyers, brochures, posters, postcards

Fundraising Committee
– Plan and implement strategy for obtaining giving levels for the following main categories of donors: Grassroots individual donors; Large individual donors; Corporate donors
– Partner with existing community service organizations such as Lion’s Club, Rotary Club, and local churches.
– Decide tiers/giving levels and on-site donor recognition

Steering Committee
– Coordinate with Parks Dept. including grant applications, RFP, and timelines
– Fulfill Fiscal Sponsorship obligations w/SPS & ensure proper accounting of all funds
– Get written endorsements from important public figures such as City Council, County Commisioners, Police, Representatives, Senators, Governor’s office, Churches, and School Administrators
– Coordinate with all other committees / press contacts

Committee Co-Chair Responsibilities
– On a bi-weekly basis, enter time logs for all committee members (this editable time log will be available via a Google Docs link from this page very soon).
– Ensure regular attendance at all bi-weekly meetings.
– Act as a liaison between your committee and all other committees.
– Meet with the Steering Committee at noon on the third Monday of every month.
– Create a calendar and workplan for your committee.
– Ensure the workplan is implemented by your committee.
– Include info(@)skateeugene.org on all committee correspondences.
– Ensure that all media inquiries are directed to:
Emily Proudfoot, City of Eugene Parks and Open Space Planning, Project Manager; and,
Janet Brown, Skaters for Eugene Skateparks, Representative
- Confer with City of Eugene Parks Development Coordinator, Carrie Peterson, before finalizing sponsor donation offers.

- Last, but not least, meet your fundraising goals!

FUNDRAISING GOALS & SOURCES – MINIMUM $250,000 BY DECEMBER 31, 2009
1) Grassroots individual donations – $25,000
2) Corporate / Organizations / Associations Donations – $50,000
3) Individual Donations (over $500) – $25,000
4) Grants – $110,000
5) Events – $40,000
6) Total – $250,000
7) Potential for In-Kind Donations? (need to coordinate w/design-build company)
