Awesome looking park! Hopefully we can all be mature adults about this park and NOT exclude other riders from using it. After 40 years and so many X-Games, I think we can put to rest the feud of skaters and BMX bikers ridding the same parks.

[...] Plans have been made for the park and the ball is rolling. A few weeks ago a couple of our group members had the chance to attend a fundraising party at the Mc Donald Theatre in downtown Eugene. The McDonald Theatre in downtown Eugene had a different crowd then usual on that Saturday night. The theatre is usually filled with sport coats and cocktail dresses, which were replaced with skateboards and baseball hats. Local skaters of all ages and abilities gathered for the Eugene Skate Party. The event was a fundraiser for the new Dreamland Skatepark in Eugene. It was sponsored by the City of Eugene, Lifted Research Group (LRG), The Hundreds clothing company, and the Eugene Rotary Club. Skateboarding and skateparks in Eugene are not only catching up to the rest of Oregon, but is on its way to raise the bar with the new park design.
